The Kedar Kantha Trek is a popular trekking destination in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, known for its stunning views and natural beauty. It's located in the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary in the Tons Valley, within the Garhwal region of the Indian Himalayas. The trek is considered easy to moderate and is accessible to both beginners and experienced trekkers.

December - April is the best time to visit. Highest altitude is 12,500 FT.

Day 01 - Dehradun - Sankri (200 Km)

Arrive at Dehradun early in the morning & drive to Sankri which is the Base Camp for the Kedarkantha trek. Sankri is the small village in the Govind Wildlife Sanctuary. Overnight stay in Homestay.
Day 02 - Sankri - Juda ka Talab (04 Km Trek - 9100 FT)

After breakfast star your trek from Sankri. The path gradually ascends through Pine forests and meadows. As you climb you will witness the Panaromic view of the sorrounding mountains and the air become cooler. Arrive at Juda ka Talab, beautiful frozen lake surrounded by dense forest. Perfect spot for camping, overnight stay at the camp.
Day 03 - Juda ka Talab - Kedarkantha Base Camp (04 km Trek - 11250 FT)

Today, the trek becomes a bit more challenging as you climb higher. The route is completely snow covered and dense forest. Upon reaching the Kedarkantha Base Camp enjoy a hot meal and relax in the Campsite. Overnight stay at the Camp.
Day 04 - Base Camp - Kedarkantha Summit - Base Camp (06 Km round Trip - 12500 FT Summit)
Wake up early for the Summit push, it starts before Sunrise to catch the first rays of the Sun from the Peak. On reaching the Summit, you will enjoy a 360 degree panoramic view of the Garhwal Himalayas with Peaks like Swargarihini, Banderpoonch, Kedarnath & Gangotri. After some time descend to the Base Camp. Overnight stay at the Camp.
Day 05 - Base Camp - Sankri ( 06 Km Trek)
After breakfast, begin your descend to the Sankri. The trail is almost downhill passing through the same pine hill and meadows.
Day 06 - Sankri - Dehradun (200 Km)
After breakfast check out and drive to Dehradun.
